THRIVE MENTALLY: x5 Tips

REAL fights for enhanced mental wellbeing.

Having suffered from poor bouts of mental health in my past, I am acutely aware of how powerful the mind can be. The influence of our internal narrative, is for me, the key to regulating our quality of mind.

Having been low, it is practically incomprehensible how different the feeling and state of mind is versus a state of high self-esteem and an assured sense of self.

My issue like so many was a core belief that I am not good enough. A lot of my self-worth is still pegged to productivity and achievement, which are external sources of validation.

But there is nothing to look for outside of ourselves, we are all limited editions with limitless possibilities.

TIP: Be you - nobody does it better. Also, everyone else is taken.

As a performance-led brand we are for all those who find their peace in movement.

Movement reminds us that we live in our bodies, not just our minds and restores a sense of agency - we are in control.

In a fast, competitive and noisy world, movement brings peace - immersed in the moment, lost in the rhythm, and alive in the process. In this meditative state we give our mind a moment of respite and we re-frame our perspective. After movement and exercise we inherently feel more capable.

When the body is busy - the mind is empty.

TIP: If you're feeling anxious, low, powerless or unable to imagine a positive future, try some movement. Give your mind a moment to breathe as you walk, jog, cycle or jump. Or talk to someone.

Routinely doing things we don't find easy builds a resolute sense of self-reliance and self-efficacy. Physical endeavours are like a ritual for our intent. We know it's hard, but we can do more and we will. We must.

If feeling is believing, then feeling capable and strong in your body is the surest way to amplify your mental wellbeing. With little control over so many things in life, our own physicality is at the core of what we are designed for and we can control that.

Embody the change you want to see in the world and live the story you want to tell.

TIP: The hardest part of doing anything physical is getting started. Don't overpromise yourself what you're going to achieve. Simply start and never discount what you have done, however short or light it was.

Activation promotes motivation ...You go again.

As humans we are social beings by default and a feeling of belonging is universal. When you follow what you love doing, reciprocated passions and interests will find you. It is this feedback that puts us where we need to be. There’s no longer a need to ‘fit in’, we’ve found ourselves. We've found our tribe.

TIP: My advice to anyone yet to ignite their passions, it can happen at any turn. Just keep saying yes to things that feed you, however small or obscure.

We are for one movement - Together is a wonderful place to be.
